Good food grown right.

About the Farm

Based in Deerfield, Massachusetts, Atlas Farm is a 120-acre certified organic, diversified family farm with its roots in the fertile soil of the Connecticut River Valley. Our produce is sold at The Atlas Farm Store and to Wholesale Customers throughout New England.

We are proud of our region-wide reputation for top-quality organic produce. We harvest from our fields and greenhouses year-round and pack storage crops for sale throughout the winter months. Atlas Farm strives to be a model of ecological food production, and to minimize our resource consumption and environmental impact with constant improvements to our farm systems.

“Farms within the three counties of the Connecticut River Valley feed our local community while supplying food to our Commonwealth and the New England region. With farmland concentrated on the western side of the state and the population densest on the eastern side, food naturally flows from our region to the larger cities. Local farms in western Mass. are uniquely positioned, with a responsive market at home and easy highway access to Boston and New York City for expanded distribution.” — Lisa Goodrich for CISA

Wholesale

We offer year-round delivery in Western Massachusetts and the Boston area, as well as on-farm pickup. We also work with local distributors to reach New York City and beyond. Please visit our wholesale page for more information, or to set up an account.

Find Atlas Produce

  • The Atlas Farm Store

The Atlas Farm Store in South Deerfield opened in 2013 with the mission of supporting local agriculture by providing a vibrant marketplace for regional farm products, as well as Atlas Farm’s own certified organic produce. In 2022, ownership of the Farm Store passed to former general manager Kelly Hickey, who is committed to growing the business in continued close partnership with Atlas Farm.

  • Featured Customer: Baldor Specialty Foods

Baldor began as “Balducci’s Fruit Stand” in Greenwich Village in 1946 and has since grown to be one of the largest importers and distributors of fresh produce and specialty foods in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

From their warehouse in Boston, Baldor is able to distribute Atlas Farm’s fresh produce to wholesale customers beyond the geographical and logistical reach of our own delivery routes. Baldor carries a selection of Atlas vegetables throughout the growing season — bunched greens, zucchini, heirloom tomatoes, and more.

Fall on the Farm

Fall finds us hustling to bring in the storage crops that will sustain our bodies and our business through the long winter months to come. Yellow potatoes, sweet potatoes, and butternut squash. Carrots and beets. Turnips and winter radishes. Stored in the right conditions, some of these hearty vegetables will see us straight through to spring!

Our farm is open for wholesale through the Thanksgiving holiday and beyond. If you have a restaurant, store, or CSA and want to become a wholesale customer, please contact us at wholesale@atlasfarm.com — or look for our products through local distributors like Marty’s Local, Myers Produce, and Food Connects.

Retail customers can find Atlas Farm produce year-round at the Atlas Farm Store in South Deerfield, and at other local stores like River Valley Co-op Northampton & Easthampton, Green Fields Market, and Whole Foods Hadley. No matter where you shop, purchasing local produce supports small farms and the people who work here. Thank you!
